If Infopop/Groupee can be believed, and as I understand it, this time they can, UBB.threads v7 will be released as a public beta sometime in June. And hopefully, given the massive amounts of internal and NDA testing they've done, it should be fairly stable.
So sometime within the next month, hopefully, I'll be renewing my members area subscription for Threads. First will come the upgrade to the latest stable version, 6.5.4. The current version we're on is at least a year and a half old, so I want to make sure we're on the newest stable version before the v7 release. This will probably be implemented as soon as I've purchased my renewal, because I rather hope it will go fairly smoothly. It may require the boards being down for a couple hours, though, so be prepared.
Once that's done, and once I've had a chance to play with and customize the v7 beta to my liking, I'll be upgrading to that. I expect it will take significantly longer, as it's all but a completely new app (much like the difference between DK and DS). Ground-up database redesign, and all that. They've already said it requires an import from a current threads database, it's not just your average file overwrite upgrade. So expect that to happen sometime next month, too. And expect the boards to be down for a couple hours at the minimum. Probably longer.
Just FYI.
By the way, by the time v7 is released, I should have my new 7et skin ready to go, so I'll be implementing that at the same time.
