Hello everybody,
Let's start with saying: I'm Dutch so my English is not perfect.

I have tried to install Dragon Knight (for the second time, at the first time I did something wrong so now I installed it again) but the screen displayed the "Cookie Error".
I searched the forum for it and saw many replies. But none of them told about this:

I tried to make a new admin account, without a space between it. But then I get another error: " Duplicate entry '1' for key 1
I have tried everything. Make the username the same as the character name, make them different, use only small letters, use no things such as a 1 or 2 but it didn't helped.

I hope someone can help me.

I now succeeded in going further.
This is wat I filled in for admin use:

Username:bleijser
Password:******
Verify password:******
Emailadress:*************
Verify adres:************
Charactername:basleijser
Class:mage
DIfficulty:Hard

But I got the following error:
Invalid cookie data (Error 1). Please clear cookies and log in again.

I tried it many times again with different combinations. The only thing that changed was the following, and only one time:

Invalid cookie data (Error 3). Please clear cookies and log in again.

I also tried to 'refresh' the page and clear the database a few times and then install the tables again but it also didn't helped

By the way: sorry for these multiple-posts, it's not a way to end high in the index or something like that. It's just the time line how it happened \:\)

It means

#1. Your cookies are not enabled.

#2. Reset your cookies or delete them.

For everyone who has the same problem:

Go to cookie.php and delete the cookies in the middle with 'Error 1', 'Error 2' and 'Error 3'.

DON'T delete the last cookie!!

I have also did this and now it worked \:\)

masteroflollies, many thanks for your reply

Umm... no, that's not really a very good solution. The cookies - and those error checks - are there for a reason. Simply deleting the error checks will not help your problem - it will in fact make your game MUCH MUCH less secure, because those checks are to make sure people aren't attempting to steal/forge cookies or do other nasty things to your site.

The solution is to completely drop all DK tables from the database, THEN completely delete all cookies stored in your browser from that site (if your browser lets you do that - if not, delete all cookies period), THEN close and restart your browser, and FINALLY re-install the game from scratch.

You should NOT remove the cookie error checks under any circumstances. Period.

Sometimes if you have multiple copies of the game installed on the same server WITH the same cookie name, it does this too.
