Smoking in the rain

It's raining on prom night

And I have nowhere else to go

I sit here on this swing

Wondering what I did wrong

Why I ended up here

The raindrops make little halos

On the lenses of my glasses

And the trees are lit in brilliant contrast

Whenever lightning strikes

Somewhere across town

Everyone else has gone to bed

And the only friend I have left

Is burning its way into nothing

Hanging from the tips of my fingers

And it's slowly killing me

But I gave up worrying about that

A long time ago

Of all the things I've done

This is the least of my worries

It's all I have left

She used to swing beside me

And I'd look at her

Like she was the most beautiful thing in the world

And she may well be

But that's gone now too

I suppose she's happy now

And in the end

I guess that's what I wanted for her

Her happiness before mine

Or some such nonsense

It's nights like this

When I think about my box of little red friends

Who betrayed me and made me hurt

But I can't go back down that road

It still hurts too much

So in their absence, and in hers

I sit here in this empty park

Smoking in the rain

Wondering how I got here

And where I'll go when I leave

very good!!!!!!!!!! rember those liquid zoo cigs I used to get have you had one in a while? they are very hard to find but they were fun while they lasted!
