Before I edited this poem out of the original thread, I saved it in case I ever wanted to post it again. And today I had lunch with a friend of mine, who is also a friend of Sara's. And I learned several interesting tidbits of information (most of which I had already kind of suspected all along). And it came to me that, quite frankly, I don't care how this poem sounds. It's really not meant to sound bitter or angry - those aren't exactly the words I would use to describe it. But it will probably come across that way anyway.

So as you read this, imagine me with a tiny little evil grin on my face. Take it how you want it.

===

I hope you always treasure
The thing I left inside you
And every time you miss me
You find it deep within you
And let it chase away

Whatever pain you're feeling
And if the pain won't leave you
Remember how I loved you
And everything we've been through
Just let it disappear

But who am I to tell if
Your pain exists at all, or
You've ever even missed me
It's not as if I mattered
I shouldn't be so vain

You tore my fucking heart out
But not before I left my
Blackened little signature
On everything you try to
Leave in the world behind

I hope you fucking treasure
The thing I left inside you
And every time you miss me
And look for what I left you
I hope it turns away

i take it what you found out was not good news...you shouldn't hate life...you should live it up and to its fullest...you never know when it's your time to go...

Ummm, no, but thanks for playing! I was talking about the memories and stuff such as that... not manjuice. Think metaphorically, man!

I don't hate life at all. Quite the contrary. If anything, I am much more happy now. Because I am finally able to believe that I am, in fact, much better off without her. It's rather unfortunate that it took something as harsh as today to cinch that fact in my thick skull. But hey, what can I say... I'm weak-minded and have a tendency to cling to the fallacy that is love. I'm sure some of you have dealt with that too.

Yea try being engaged...fucking, suppose to get married...suppose to be in love forever!?!?! riiiiight...that didnt quite turn out the way i planned...people lie too much for love to ever be true....true love exists only in storybooks and movies, fairytail land where pain doesnt exist, that would deffinately not describe my world, too bad...

i agree in the fact that people lie too much for there to be true love..if they don't flat out lie to your face then they just play along with how you feel because they don't want to hurt you...which sometimes hurts worse.

there isnt a good love without a lie. but there are people that take it for granted. sometimes its better not to find out somethings that happen in the past. you just have to let it go. i wish that i never fell in love but i learn from it. there is a time for everything
