---
He didn’t go to sleep that night. He was too busy trying to decide what to do. And they were pissed that they’d made a mistake, so they were screaming bloody murder in his head anyway LITTLE SHIT DON’T DO THAT I SAID DON’T TOUCH THAT!!!!!
But he’d finally realized why things were the way they were. And so he paid them no attention, no matter how loudly they yelled. They weren’t worth listening to GODDAMMIT DON’T YOU KNOW HOW MUCH YOU NEED US?!?!
He had to work fast, now. Otherwise he’d lose his nerve, and he wouldn’t be able to do what he now knew that he needed to do NO YOU DON’T!!!
STOP NOW BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE!!!
PLEASE…
Time skipped… he’d never had that happen before, but it did, just the same. One minute, he was lying in bed in his boxers, and the next minute, he was standing on the top of his office building, twenty stories off the ground.
They were no longer inside his head… they’d left his head, and were standing about ten feet away, watching him, wanting to stop him but unable to. They’d gotten bodies, alright, but they weren’t quite real enough to actually reach out and touch him. Interesting faces they had… not what he’d pictured them looking like at all. She was here, too, also standing about ten feet away, but in a different direction, so they all made a nice little triangle on the roof. What a nice Mexican standoff this was turning out to be.
But then… that wasn’t completely right, was it? Of course it wasn’t. He was alone. He’d always been alone.
Sure, the pills took care of them. Unfortunately, they also took care of her. The pills killed the only thing he could ever love.
With one final look toward the sky, he whispered goodbye to the girl that never existed, and he jumped.
Fin.

That was amazing. I cannot believe the girl wasn't real! You totally had me fooled...I did not catch on to it at all. I really think you should get it published, cuz it's awesome.
