Sorry for the issues with the missing posts earlier. I hope everything is fixed now. Turns out that Eve 1.2 stored all posts and topics in a different format (with various portions of the data spread throughout like eight different tables), and I imported the first time from the old tables instead of the new tables. Should be all fixed now. I think I've gotten everything imported successfully. If anything is still missing, let me know, please.
On that note, we now look to the future.
PunBB already is missing one major thing that I am not sure I can live without, which is display names. I did bring those over from Eve, so hopefully I'll figure out a way to use them. Also, I'm definitely going to be adding the private message thing. And my site design, eventually. Till I get all that finished, you have to deal with the bare minimum. That's sort of the whole point of PunBB anyway, the way I understand it.
The other thing about the future is, I'm still interested in Infopop's NGP, no matter how much you guys don't like that company. Some power-hungry moderator deleted my post and pissed me off, but I've been with them for a long damn time, and I've got a bunch of buddies that work there now. So we may be switching to that in a couple months when it comes out. I don't plan on just blindly going with it, though. For one, it costs money, and for two, I want to make sure it's worth it before I start going through the process of trying to import everything into that after having just finished importing everything into this. As soon as someone posts an address to a public-viewable demo site running it, I'll start checking it out. And I'll probably post here, in case any of you want to check it out and offer your opinions.
So, um, to recap...
Everything should be fixed now. Begin posting as usual. And sit tight for some extra features that we're currently lacking.

Bleh. I SOOO can't wait till Infopop's NGP is out.
Fast is one thing, but there is something to be said for aesthetics, which are pretty much nonexistant here. I tried to edit the template to bring the Se7enet 2005 design onto the forums, and it totally fucked everything up. Till I figure out exactly what the deal with it's CSS is (or till the NGP comes out, whichever comes first) we're stuck with this minimalist forum layout that matches nothing.

Well, I really hope that you can get the style to look like Infopop forums. That was awesome :)
But otherwise, I love PunBB.
When do you expect to install the PM mod? It takes about 2 seconds ;)

Ok to explain. On the old forum, you have an account name (mine is add15uk), and then in your profile, you set a display name.
The display name is shown in every post etc, instead of your account name... Hence how mine displayed as "Adam" and now it just shows my silly account name.

Anyway, hopefully Jamin will see the PHP program he was talking about, and go back to using Eve. I love PunBB, but se7enet IS Eve...

No going back now. I'm no longer hosted by Infopop, so I can't get Eve. I'm waiting for the next-gen downloadable product, which is an upgrade-ish type thing from regular UBB classic/threads. I keep checking on UBBDev, and on the lead programmer's site, to see when the public beta comes out, but so far no news. :(
