Short answer: HELL YES!
Long answer: I was in webpage design. Everyone else in there has NO CLUE what HTML even is (including the teacher, pretty sad), so she teaches us HTML that is over 10 years old. After I made a kick ass webiste, and they noticed I was too advanced to be in there, they decided to find something more challenging.
At first they wanted me to try this game development contest at http://secondlife.com/. After signing up for the trial, I found it almost impossible to do anything. Then the school IT decided to give me a copy of Microsoft Visual Basic, and he would help me off and on make a new game.
The Style: If you have ever played Magic: The Gathering, then I think you might like this game. It is a cross between the Shandelars (spelled wrong, of course) game, and Magic Online. It will be free (probably not open source), and will be modified ALOT from Magic, so I am not ripping them off. I have hardly ever used VB, so this will be hard, but I will try. If it takes me a long time to release it, then I am sorry :(

Horrible.
Don't get it, it is utter crap, IMO.
First, you start off with $250. That is not enough to get anything.. I wanted to buy some land (as everyone should have a place to live, duh..). I looked, and the cheaper stuff said Mature. I thought this had some in-game meaning, so i checked the land out.
Let's just say that ended up about as good as going to lemonparty.org.
I found some cheap, non mature land for $230. I decided to check it out. The plot of land was the same size as anyone was selling, but the area was tiny. It was so small it took me forever to find it..
I tried buying it, just for the hell of it, and it gives me the message saying you must have a premium account in order to buy land.
Buy the Sims Online, and forget this ever existed.
