Well it's not too big of a deal, but I'll put it here so that if anyone else thinks of this, it'll already be answered.
The idea is forum integration. The concept for making it possible (and trying to not sound like an idiot) is to have 1 table that would be used by default that would contain on the most basic of information. Like "accounts", containing "account_number, user_name, password, email, join_date". Everything there for an account to exist. A separate module , say udb.php, would be used for things like registration link, log-in link and getting account information.
All someone would have to do is to modify it so that it would return the information necessary for the user to play the game, how it gets that information wouldn't matter. So if someone were to go in and make it know that it's forum member # 666, it would return #666 and the other info. The game would find user id "666" (simple query, but I think you already figured that out). If the forum name changes, that change would reflect in the game (but obviously the character name wouldn't change).
Default udb.php file would use the regular login/registration/account info methods, but for a forum board, could just tweak a few parts and suddenly it's using the forums memberbase. If it detects that the person is signed in but they don't have a character (ie not in the game), then they can just join the game and they're already signed up.
I know I probably babbled some, but it's a good idea (I hope you agree). It would definitely make it easier to integrate with a forum which I think would boost popularity for the game as well.
So will this idea ever be possible? Or am I gonna get one of those "fuck off" replies?

Good idea, but you're too late... sort of... Clickie clickie!
No specific plans for direct forum integration have been announced, as such. But I did have a bit of discussion about ways it could be done in a blog post back in April. More than likely, I'm going to be leaving it up to the users to do their own forum integration, because it's way too much of a pain in the ass to put it in the stock code and then have to provide support for it - for one, I can't really support someone else's product, and for two, there are just WAY too many different forum packages available, so how do I pick which ones get official support and which ones don't?
At any rate, even without direct support built-in, as you can see from the first link, the way the new character system in Scourge is handled will make it much, much easier for people with a little bit of PHP experience to make it work with their own external user system.
BTW, just so we're clear, this is only for Scourge. If you were talking about DK, um, sorry, but no.

Nah, for DK, I know that I'll have to beg someone to mod it fo r me.
The whole idea that I had was one where modders/hackers/etc'ers could easily tweak it and put it up for those using the same software scripts (without your supporting it, of course, as you shouldn't have to )
Perhaps for a next project, presuming you take one on, you might consider the method I mentioned. That is, if the way you do it proves to be a problem or if you just want to toy with that design. I for one am certainly looking forward to DS, especially if there is an easy way of integrating it.
(and thanks for your consideration, without getting detailed, I'll just say that there are some who don't know how to take in ideas).

1. I looked at your site, and couldn't find any mention of any game, let alone DK. 2. You triple-posted the same URL three times. 3. Even had you not triple-posted, and even if the URL did indeed point to a copy of my game, this isn't the correct thread anyway.
Ergo, your spam has been BUH-LEETED!!!
