Hmmm... J may know a bit and their were previous posts. About my mod for Half-Life. It was almost ready to break public-beta when I moved out of my parents house, but um anyway, I plan to take my Halflife mod up to HL2.
Its been in the plans for when I got HL2 (which I got) if I thought I could work it nicely.
Hell ya...
So one conclusion I have came up with is a dissapointment with the weponry. For HL2 at least.
Halflife's was alright and TLI had exclusively new weapons. I have kinda decideded against most the weapons (mainly porting HL originals) and some I don't think fit anymore.
*In any since I think Se7enet is good place for opinions.
*Intill I get more ram and step up my 3D card I am gonna mainly deal with concept and simple models.
I've been thinking of weapons concept recenly.
Here's what I've also thought about.
-Crowbar will be replaced with some Rebar (as previously)
Primary as a find in rubbage.
-The Ruger may stay or be replaced by a Desert Eagle. (both may stay as originaly intended)
-Matrix Gun Will probially be removed. [Matrix gun shot slow motion tracking bullets]
-Tau-Gun 2.000 - Will probially be replaced by a 3000 Model [Tau 2 was a upgraded test model of the Tau-Cannon]
-RPG - was to be replaced with the Mars UAC Rocket launcher (with heat seeking) but will probially be replaced with a similar stronger Rocket Launcher.
Also I wanna make a stronger Gravity Gun, Alien Weapons, a Rail gun?, and a few other experimental weapons.
I particuly like the Gravity well and Railgun ideas for weapons but they could suck.
Whats the input on which things you'd like to see in HL2?
If you don't play HL2 what Physics/Shooter weapons should there be in a shooter game or you'd like to see. Just gimme ideas ;)

Simple, a net gun. But not just any net gun, it fires nets made out of steel cables, that, when attached to the wall constrict and shear the victim into several dozen chunks...that would be sweetness.

:) Violent weapons could be really cool...
I think a nail gun that pins people with nails would be cool too... I thought about a rail gun that shoots double rails attached to a cord and slices people or pins them to things...
