Um... excuse me? I'm well aware most people here prefer FF over IE but christ. I wouldnt go as far as to calling IE users retards, lol. all browsers have their issues.

Actually, how many NON computer literate people use something other than IE? Putting aside people who TELL them to use FF or something else? They use IE. Because its the first thing there on their desktop.
And I have to use IE as well. And Im telling you, I do not enjoy it. It is driving me insane. I dont think you understand whats going on with your browsers and such. I think you need to be educated. With my fist.

Right now I have FF, IE and Opera on my computer. I use all 3 for different things. There's a game I play that uses MS-specific DHTML, and simply does not run in FF. So I have to use IE. (www.shimlar.com ... it dosen't run in FF for me, at all.) as for my .Net problem. Nope, didnt know how to fix it so I simply switched from FF to IE. I guess perhaps no, I don't know enough about FF to fix the problem *if* the browser is the problem. I'm not afraid to admit im a little sketchy with FF because I don't use it much. lol.

I use IE and FF both. A lot. I have to use IE for the same reason you mentioned above, some programs I require to access online only with in IE and IE based browsers. But thats only because FF is a lot younger than IE and hasnt had such programs built into it yet. Soon though. Soon.

Nope. Will never happen.
Coporate standards and user simplicity and continuality will keep windows always ahead.
Windows always runs your programs. Why? Because most of the time they are built for windows. notice some programes wont work in xp? or xp programs not work in 95. It all comes down to standing operating enviroments.
And most people using a computer, dont know how to. They will continue to use windows because they know how it works and they know what it looks like and where to click and so on. No matter what version of linux you have, it will NEVER look like windows or they will have the their balls licked as it is COMPLETLY illegal. At microsofts will, they can pull a kazaa lite on all linux systems.
And there are so many versions of linux out there, as mentioned above, in situations where consistancy and stability are required, windows will always be at the top.

Well, Linux mostly does include some things and more that Windows has, it has the 'start' button. The problem is that it is far more difficult to install programs. Which I have stated many times in many many topics.

Well, what IE 7 are you talking about in the first statement? Are you the developer of IE 7 because it has some nice work going into it, even if I have never tried and don't care to ever try it. IE 7 by Microsoft however is looking pretty damn cool even if it still doesn't include support for XHTML, Full CSS 2 support, or CSS 3 (however Mozilla/Firefox still doesn't include full support for the CSS 3 standard either).
As for the second statement, I don't believe anyone has done anything to ie7.com and the link leads over to Firefox, which either IE 7 developed by another person outside of Microsoft has stopped development in light of Microsoft's startup of IE development or because Firefox has everything IE7 wanted to be.
